Abstract
Ultrastructural quantitation has been used to determine both the effect of phenytoin (PHT) on gingival connective tissue components and the cellular basis for these changes. The results suggest that the amount of ground substance increases, and this may be due to decreased degradation within fibroblasts. Keywords
