Abstract
Dried human plasma and that which had been frozen and stored for long periods were not readily clotted by coagu-lase. Purified fibrinogen was not clotted by coagulase, but dried human plasma, frozen plasma and dried human fribino-gen were readily clotted on admixture of a plasma factor. The accessory activator was precipitated by 60-100% saturation with (NH4)2SO4, resisted temp, below 100 C, but was destroyed by pepsin or HNO3. A coagulase inhibitor was present in many samples of normal human plasma. Keywords
