Abstract
A simple dynamic dipole rotation model is developed for a single domain of a magnetostrictive amorphous metal. The equations of motion for the coupled magnetization and strain modes are presented. The resultant 2×2 dynamic susceptibility is useful in characterizing the performance of metallic glass based sensors. As an example, the stress and field dependence to the dynamic response of a fiber optic DC magnetometer is investigated. Keywords
