Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 67-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of lymphadenopathy.He had been well until one month previously, when anorexia and right-sided abdominal pain developed, followed by the passage of grossly bloody stools. On admission to the hospital physical examination was negative except that the edge of the liver was felt 2 cm below the right costal margin. Extensive studies, including sigmoidoscopic examination, an air-contrast barium-enema examination and a gastrointestinal series, revealed only an axial hiatus hernia and a few diverticula of the sigmoid colon.
