Abstract
Fat-embolism syndrome may occur during or after total hip and total knee arthroplasties [3,4,5,6,8,9,13,14,15,16,17,19,20,23,25]. In most patients, this complication has resulted in varying degrees of acute respiratory impairment, but fatal fat embolisms have also been documented [17,19,20,22,25]. IKeywords
