Abstract
A new method of time domain reflectometry (TDR) is described. This “reference method” has made it possible to measure dielectric spectra of liquid samples in the GHz region more precisely and easily than the usual TDR method, taking in differences among the reflections from the air, a standard liquid and an unknown sample. The advantages of the method are demonstrated by measurements of dielectric spectra of alcohols and dilute polymer solutions, the critical frequencies of which are above 100 MHz.Keywords
