Ultrasonic tracking of common sole juveniles (Solea vulgaris Quensel, 1806) in a saltmarsh: methods and fish response to some environmental factors

Abstract
The movements of two young male soles introduced into net enclosure located in a saltmarsh were recorded over a 3-day and 5-day period by means of an acoustic emission location device. A description of the tracking system is provided. The results illustrate the performance of the device and demonstrate the prospects for its use in fish behavioural research.
