Lead poisoning in childhood in Ceylon.

Abstract
A series of 12 cases of Pb poisoning in children in Colombo is reported. In addition to the sources of Pb which are generally recognized, in 6 cases the source was traced to the fact that the children were living in premises where small-scale gold recovery from jeweler''s wastes was carried out. Inhalation of lead-containing fumes was a feature in many of the cases.
