Abstract
The results are similar to those previously reported for other amphibians and reptiles, thus providing additional evidence in support of the generalization that fats of this type are intermediate in composition between fish fats and land animal fats. Palmitic (19.7%), stearic (10.8%), oleic (47.1%) and octadecadienoic (10.7%) acids are major components, the octadecadienoic acid being almost entirely linoleic acid. Myristic, arahidic, tetradecenoic, hexadecenoic, octadecatrienoic and higher unsaturated acids are present as minor components. Keywords
