Abstract
Southern Alberta contains some of the most extensive irrigation systems in Canada. This paper reviews the history of irrigation development in Alberta through its various commercial and governmental phases. The author also reviews the present status of irrigation in the province, and provides a look into future trends of irrigation demand and water supplies.Keywords
