Abstract
A study was made of the metabolism and urinary exretion of rutin, hesperidin, hesperidin methyl chalcone, naringin and phloroacetophenone. The latter compound is excreted largely either free or combined, the flavonoids, except rutin, are probably destroyed in the body or converted into other compounds not detected by the methods used. Rutin is partially destroyed in the body and partially excreted as sulfate and glucuronide. Keywords
