Abstract
Summary A double-blind controlled trial was performed to compare synovial irrigation with simple aspiration of the rheumatoid knee. By subjective and objective clinical criteria and by laboratory investigations of synovial fluid, it was shown that both groups of patients improved, but that joint irrigation afforded no additional benefit. Keywords
