Abstract
The in vivo resting membrane potential was significantly reduced in dystrophic muscle when compared with healthy muscle. Measurements made at intervals of not greater than 14 days after nerve section showed a reduction in the mean resting membrane potential in both dystrophic and healthy muscle. The changes are due to alterations in membrane conductance. Keywords
