Abstract
This mathematical model of a discharge lamp permits analysis and discussion of two types of operating circuits, with a view to reducing the size and weight of the ballast. The authors found that their method of analysis is useful in predicting the circuit constants and the characteristics for various operating conditions and in designing the system of ballasting circuits.Keywords
