Abstract
Investigation of improvement of effectiveness of portland cement as stabilizer by use of chemical additives at M.I.T. Soil Stabilization Laboratory; tests showed that, with all types of soils studied, from nonplastic sands to heavy clays, cement stabilization can be substantially improved by incorporation of relatively small quantity of alkali sodium compounds; strength improvements varying from 15 to 250% were obtained. Keywords
