Abstract
Intensity beats have been observed in the pure rotational Raman spectra of several near prolate asymmetric top molecules. Comparison of the observed spectra with computer simulated ones allows, from a knowledge of A0 and text-decoration:overline B 0, the determination of both B0 and C0 for butadiene: B0= 0.148 7 ± 0.000 2 cm–1, C0= 0.133 9 ± 0.000 2 cm–1.Keywords
