Abstract
Blakeslea trispora Thaxter, which has hitherto been known only in the sporangial stage, has been found to produce zygospores. Zygospore production is dependent upon the presence of the plus (+) and minus (-) strains. The only apparent difference in the two strains is the ability of the one to produce sporangia in greater abundance. Keywords
