Abstract

The hydroformylation of [1-¹⁴C]propene under high CO and H₂ pressure in the presence of Co₂(CO)₈ gave [2¹⁴C]-n-butanal (48%), [4-¹⁴C]-n-butanal (32%), and 2-methyl[3-¹⁴C]propanal (20%).
