Plant Associated Phytoseiidae of El Salvador, Central America (Acarina: Mesostigmata)

Abstract
This is a faunal summary of the plant-associated phytoseiids of El Salvador in which Typhlodromips benavidesi Denmark and Andrews, sp. nov., and COCOSEIUS elsalvador Denmark and Andrews, gen. et sp. nov., are described. Twelve other species (Proprioseiopsis cannaensis, Amblyseius chiapensis, A. triplaris, A. pravus, Typhlodromips dentilis, T. dillus, Euseius sibelius, E. brazilli, Typhlodromalus clavicus, Phytoseius bennetti, Galendromus flumenis and Paraseiulella corna) are recorded from El Salvador for the 1st time, bringing the total reported from that country to 21 spp. The species Cydnodro mella pilosa, E. vivax, E. concordis and G. helveolus are also discussed.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
