Abstract
In discussing a theoretical study of the signals obtained with square wave stripping voltammetry, Komorsky-Lovric and Lovric have indicated that, for the very fast and reversible reduction of an adsorbed species which yields and adsorbed product, no signal should be obtained. The reduction of anthraquinone-based reactive dyes (Procion Blue MX-R and Cibacron Blue 3GA) adsorbed at a hanging mercury drop electrode illustrates this theory as applied when differential pulse stripping voltammetry is used, and this is reported here.
