Diet and TEPA Therapy in Sarcoma-Bearing Rats.

Abstract
N, N[image], N[image][image] triethyl-enephosphoramide (TEPA) reduced food efficiency and growth of normal tissues as well as a transplanted sarcoma in rats fed a semi-synthetic diet containing 12% casein. Supplementing the diet with an optimum amount of methionine and guanidoacetic acid increased food efficiency and growth of the body without increasing growth of the tumor in the presence of TEPA. Increased growth of the body was correlated with a reduction in excretion or urea.
