Abstract
A fluorophotometer was developed as a research tool to investigate the methodology of fluorescence measurements in the vitreous. Performance was optimized with respect to the optical configuration of the instrument, the choice of filter combinations, and the electronic detection efficiency. Methods are suggested to characterize vitreous fluorophotometer performance and to improve the reliability of clinical measurements. Keywords
