Abstract
This report concerns a family in which papillary thyroid carcinoma appeared in the father and two daughters and follicular adenoma in a granddaughter. The father died of systemic metastasis of papillary thyroid carcinoma. The two daughters and glanddaughter felt well postoperatively. We speculate that some gene‐related factors might play an important role in familial occurrence of papillary thyroid carcinoma and follicular thyroid adenoma in the family. Keywords
