RENAL VEIN THROMBOSIS IN CARCINOMA OF THE RENAL PELVIS

Abstract
Three cases of transitional cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis which exhibited invasion into the renal parenchyma and occlusion of the renal vein are reported. Angiographic differentiation from a renal cell carcinoma is difficult in these cases. A frozen section at surgery will reveal the definitive diagnosis and lead the surgeon to the operation of choice.
