MMPI profile of DSM-III borderline personality disorder

Abstract
The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory profile of 26 patients with Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder - III borderline personality disorder were compared with that of 19 patients with dysthymic disorder. The clinical scales on which the borderline patients scored highest were psychasthenia and schizophrenia. Discriminant function analyses indicated that the L and F validity scales provided the model that best discriminated between the borderline and dysthymic groups.
