Abstract
As in subarachnoid hemorrhage from other causes, complete recovery is dependent on the size and location of the cerebral artery involved, and with subacute bacterial endocarditis the judicious use of adequate amts. of penicillin is indicated, according to the sensitivity of the infecting organism, to sterilize the infected valve. Any patient who presents cerebral symptoms, heart murmur, fever, with or without splenomegaly, and petechiae should be suspected of having subacute bacterial endocarditis. Keywords
