Some Aspects of the Fate of Cold Fronts in the Gulf of Mexico

Abstract
This is a summary of the frontal activity in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea based on the fronts rather than on the more standard climatological summary of frequency in latitude-longitude squares. The orientation of the entering front is a function of the origin of the front. The duration and final departure of the front is discussed along with the extent of the penetration southward and the development of frontal waves.
