Abstract
The diagnostic difficulties and the potential serious course of Mycobacterium marinum synovitis are illustrated in a patient in whom treatment with local steroid injections and immunosuppressive therapy resulted in local destruction of the wrist and systemic reactions. Healing was achieved after correct medical and surgical treatment was initiated. Keywords
