Abstract
Two in vivo artificial rumen (VIVAR) devices are described one is constructed of stainless steel and the other made from small jars. The devices accommodate membranes of various chemical compositions, thickness and pore sizes (membrane filters, Visking, porcelain, Vycor glass and stainless steel). Performance of the VIVARs is described and some examples are given of their application to studies in microbial ecology of the rumen. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
