Binding of Amantadine to Red Blood Cells

Abstract
Amantadine hydrochloride, a primary amine and a useful antiinfluenza A and antiparkinsonism drug, is present in a higher concentration in blood than in plasma in patients with renal failure. The distribution of amantadine between erythrocytes and plasma was studied in subjects who had ingested single or multiple doses of amantadine.
