A note on psychodiagnosis.

Abstract
Difficulties in attempting to formulate a satisfactory curriculum for training clinical psychologists are largely due to confused thinking about the role and functions of psycho-clinicians. "Psychodiagnosis is the evaluation of an individual's behavior equipment preparatory to helping him adjust better in the future." The method is essentially one of interviewing which may be either standardized or unstandardized. When both types are used effectively, cross-sectional and longitudinal dimensions of behavior are obtained. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
