Abstract
Low-lying levels of were populated by the reaction at a bombarding energy of 16.0 MeV. Angular distributions were measured for all states below 3.3 MeV in excitation energy. The shapes of these angular distributions, and the () dependence of the integrated cross sections are consistent with a compound-nucleus mechanism for the reaction. The measured cross section for the level at 3.235 MeV suggests that it has a spin of rather than ½.
