Abstract
The matching procedure is used to obtain the expression for the surface Green function for two media in contact in terms of surface values and normal derivatives of the Green functions for the infinite media. This is a generalization of the result of Garcia-Moliner and Rubio (see abstr. A8337 of 1970) who considered the special case when the interface was a mirror plane for both infinite media. An application is made to the surface states in the one dimensional NFE model. Keywords
