Abstract
Protein D of Haemophilus influenzae is 67% identical to the periplasmic glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase of Escherichia coli. Extracts prepared from E. coli expressing recombinant protein D had an 8- to 22-fold-higher specific activity of glycerophosphodiester phosphodiesterase compared with extracts of E. coli not expressing protein D.Keywords
