Primary Melanoma of the Vagina

Abstract
Seven cases of primary melanoma of the vagina treated surgically, with radium, and with chemical agents are presented. None of the patients was cured. In patients treated with radio- and chemotherapy, the median duration of remission (5 months) and the mean survival time (19 months) did not differ from those in the patients treated surgically and with cytostatic agents. No correlation was found between the clinical course and the histological structure of melanoma malignum.
