Abstract
In dogs and cats, when pancreatic response to repeated injections of 0.2% HCl had become exhausted, it could be restored by injecting into the duodenum 0.2% HCl to which 10-30 mgm. of histamine had been added. The previous feeding of the animals was an important factor. Histamine was absorbed from the small intestine when injected in 0.2% HCl, or when injected in aqueous solution if the gut had been subjected to previous injections of HCl.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
