Abstract
A case of ainhum in a negro with peripheral vascular sclerosis is reported. Although no fungus could be demonstrated it is suggested that epidermophytosis (athlete's foot) is the most likely infection to cause a bilateral lesion in the cleft of the little toes.Keywords
