Abstract
The performance of a multicast switching system with a cyclic priority input access scheme is evaluated. An analytic model which may treat two distinct multicast switches in a unified way is proposed. The performance measure is the packet delay at the input buffer of the system. The analysis is subsequently performed using matrix-geometric techniques. The numerical results are compared with simulations, and show good agreement. Keywords
