Abstract
Summary: A new neurotropic virus has been isolated from wild-caught mosquitoes captured in the vicinity of Ilhéus, in the State of Baía, Brazil. This virus is lethal for mice. It causes immunization, so far without any sign of illness, in man. It is transmitted by mosquitoes of the species Aedes aegypti, Aedes serratus and Psorophora ferox. It is serologically specific.Keywords
