Abstract
Although the ability of Laetrile to produce any therapeutic effect for the patient with cancer is highly questionable, there can be little doubt concerning the ability of this drug to produce a remarkable effect in the pages of the Journal. Within the past year we have read the words of a renowned surgeon (295:116, 1976) amplified by the former Journal editor (295:838, 1976), both advocating uncontrolled release of Laetrile on the open market.
