Abstract
The outer membrane protein (OMP) profiles of four different strains of Bacteroides fragilis, as determined by Coomassie blue stained polyacrylamide gels, were compared after growth in broth culture and in the mouse peritoneal cavity. There was no induction of the expression of large quantities of novel OMP after growth in vivo. Mouse immunoglobulin G and albumin were associated with the bacterial OMP, but could be removed by washing.Keywords
