Abstract
When analyzing reliability of large systems, the great number of states require much computing time and a large memory, neither of which are readily available. This paper describes a method of partitioning a set of possible states into subsets. An algorithm may be devised on the basis of this method requiring much less memory as compared to other well known methods. Keywords
