Abstract
An examination of oribateid mites from cattle pastures in south-east Queensland showed Zygoribatula longiporosa Hammer to be the only species infested with cysticercoids. By feeding a number of these mites from a cattle pasture to a worm-free calf, the cysticercoids proved to be those of Moniezia benedeni (Moniez 1879). Cysticercoids of a similar type were also found in Z. longiporosa collected from a sheep pasture. Keywords
