Abstract
Chemical kinetics is the study of the rates and mechanisms of chemical reactions and the factors that influence those rates and mechanisms. Ideally, one would like to obtain quantitative concentration vs. time data from which rate constants can be calculated and mechanisms deduced. In the absence of quantitative data, however, the sequence of chemical events can still be deduced, provided a technique exists for observing intermediate species. Keywords
