Abstract
Generalizations of the theory developed by H. Hotelling (see preceding abst.) in the design of efficient expts. for determining the wts. of p objects in N weighings in a 2-pan balance are given. Designs are presented for the following cases: N = 2m, p[less than or equal2m (zero bias) or p[less than or equal2m [long dash] 1 (non-zero bias); N = 2m + l, p[less than or equal2m (zero bias) or p[less than or equal2m [long dash] 1 (non-zero bias); and N = 2m + r, p[less than or equal2m (zero bias) or p[less than or equal2[image] [long dash] 1 (non-zero bias). This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
