Abstract
WE propose that the relative cross sections for the reaction processes ηp,η’p→ηp,η’p,Λ and p→ηn,η’n, induced by pseudoscalar mesons on a proton target, provide a sensitive test for the presence of a strange-antistrange (ss¯) quark component in the nucleon’s wave function.
