Abstract
This interesting paper corroborates the view that major mutations have been important in plant evolution. This is in contrast to the classical view of neo-Darwinian evolutionary biology, with its emphasis on gradual changes. Since the classical school of evolutionary biology has serious problems in explaining the origin of evolutionary novelties (such as new body plans), evidence for non-gradualistic evolution is highly welcome....Keywords
