Abstract
In eighty-seven hypertensive patients in general practice, treated with either methyldopa or the combination of methyldopa and a diuretic, oxprenolol 80 mg was added to the regime with subsequent reduction in methyldopa dosage. In the two groups of patients studied, those whose blood pressure was ‘well controlled’ and another group with a higher blood pressure, the control of blood pressure levels was improved and the incidence of reported tiredness decreased. Keywords
