Abstract
The photodissociation I2M+hν→I2+M was studied for M=C2H6 and M=(C2H5)2O with excitation above the dissociation limit of I2 B state. Vibrational population distributions of the I2(B) product molecules are reported. The results are compared to previous studies of the dissociation of similar iodine complexes and to studies of the cage effect in high density gases and liquids. Keywords
