Abstract
Body radioactivity measurements were made on a man who became contaminated in a minor reactor incident. A widespread distribution of Zn-65 was evident within 2 days of the intake, and there was an appreciable concentration in the liver during the first 100 days. Biological half-lives for the Zn-65 were 18 days for 27% of the absorbed fraction and 453 days for the remaining 73%, and excretion was mainly (80%) fecal. The Ag-llOm, which was largely confined to the liver, showed a biological half-life of 52 days, and was excreted solely in the feces.
